Killalea State Park, on the NSW coast at Shellharbour, is Crown Land dedicated to public recreation. It is managed by Killalea State Park Trust.
It features stunning views in all directions, and a range of public recreation facilities consistent with environmental conservation. Natural features include sandy, rocky shores, coastal dunes & heath, river frontage, tidal mangroves, fresh-water lagoon, subtropical & littoral rainforest remnants and an offshore island.
The park also features bush & coastal walking trails, and is within hiking distance of Bass Point Reserve and the picturesque Shellharbour village.
Also on site is the Illawarra Environmental Education Centre (NSW Department of Education & Training).
